  • ST Fins

I've pedaled my Revo with regular fins for a year.

It moves fine and goes plenty fast enough for my purposes.

But I've been reading elsewhere on-line that ST and ST Turbo fins can reduce my cadence with the tradeoff of slightly more resistance.

I fish shallow water often and did not want the added length of the Turbo fins. But I frequently travel 8 to 10 miles per trip. Fewer pedal strokes would be a good thing provided the added resistance is not overwhelming.

So I recently ordered a set of ST fins. I'll let you know how it goes.

If I don't like them I'll put the regular fins back on.

You will not go back to the ST. The Turbo fins make a big difference.

I've only used the standard fins that came with my kayak, so I don't have first hand experience with the ST or the ST Turbo fins, but from what I've read the (non-turbo) ST don't offer much improvement over the stockers.

I use my pedals in the shallows, with the fins up against the hull and short strokes when it's real skinny water....you can to do the same with any of the three fin variations.
