Fishing in the rain

Despise the weather reports of rain this sat, I'm still thinking of fishing at Black Hill. Based on my research, bass is still fishable in the rain. Just need to use darker lures. Any inputs out there?

I've had some great days catching fish in the rain. I'll probably wear swim trunks Saturday, rather than be too hot in rain gear...as long as there's no lightning.

How large does a river generally need to be before there isn't a danger of flood conditions? Like, I would be wary of heading out into the upper Patuxant but would the South river by Quiet Waters be safe?
