Reg's for nite fishing??

What are the rules or regulations for fishing at night in a kayak? is it allowed? Thinking of launching after work saturday @ 7:30 Key Bridge. i do not have bow or stearn lights but do have battery powered lamp that would be bright enuff for boaters to see the yak.

In Maryland I believe you need a white light visible from 360 degrees and a noise maker (whistle, horn). I would recommend also having a flashlight that you could direct towards any oncoming powered boat traffic to get their attention.

Seems like DC has the similiar requirements.

Thank You!! yeah deff gotta be safe a bit of a priority... if i get uncomfortable i'll head back also very little to no moon... i just would like to hookup with a rockfish or two...

All you need is noise maker and any type of light. Is. Headlamp, visipole, lit candle, anything.
