Help me with what I should look for in a good paddle. I have 2 peice aluminum shaft paddles for the SI's and I have had no issues with them but I read that investing in a real good paddle is worth it. I am buying a new NWSlayer Propel 13 in July and a wont have to reply on a paddle but still have to have one of course. Please give me your thoughts and advice on what I should consider, things to look for, etc.
    Thanks in advance!

If you dont go, you wont know, and you got to have bait in the water.

With the propel I'm not sure you need to worry much about a good paddle. A lower end carbon fiber paddle would be a vast improvement over your aluminum ones.

I have been working with Snaggedline.com members Chex and Redfish12 to develop some online background material we call "Kayak Fishing 101" http://chesapeakebaykayakanglers.com...shing-101.html . The text is being added to the Chesapeake Bay Kayak Anglers website one section at a time. The discussion on what to look for in a paddle can be found under the Types of Kayaks for Fishing section. It is good place to start for those looking to get going in kayak fishing or who want to upgrade their knowledge base.

I can swear to an Aqua-Bound Sting Ray Carbon paddle. This paddle is light and efficient but it ain't cheap.
