Tough conditions in rivers and creeks this weekend. Between the bass awkward tides, and the strong north wind blowing all the water out of the Bay, what's a River rat to do?
I know the feeling. I went to a retention pond that I have known about for some time. Nestled back behind trees and bushes, I had to chop down some dead branches full of thorns to get in. Once in, thighs were ok - ok that is for all the frogs and tadpoles, but no fish.
I thought I remembered someone posting about this pond, but based on them saying this was in a bad neighborhood, this could not have been the same one, as it was in a business park, with no houses around.
Then, last night I came down with a fever close to 101 - not sure what that was all about. So, not feeling the best, just staying home today, hoping tomorrow brings the possibility of feeling better and a good river to fish.
