  • First Season

Hello all, looking foward to my first season of kayak fishing. After spending countless hours researching kayak fishing and wondering what it would be like to have one of my own , I finally made the jump. Few weeks back, with the assistants of the one and only DOGFISH I finally purchased my first 13' Ocean Kayak Prowler from West Marine in Annapolis. Looking forward to getting out on the water soon, hope to see you guys out there.

me, too- bought my OK Prowler in early March from West Marine... some of us are coming late to the party but we want to have some fun, too...and get into places the stink boats don't, can't or won't...mine already has had some fish slime on it!

Congrats on the new boat. If you're ever in the Solomons/Point Lookout area, give me a holler.

Thank you everyone for the welcome. In the process now of getting the yak ready to hit the water, thinking of taking my maiden voyage out on the Severn River this week. You guys are right it is extremely addictive! To me the only difference between yakking and drinking is that I can control my drinking. I have found my new obsession in life. Seems all I do these days is read about yak fishing, shop around for parts, and think of newways to rigg things.
