Anyone know if the woods by Black Walnut Point are private property? (https://maps.google.com/maps?es_sm=1...898,+-76.34105 38.67898, -76.34105)

If so, what about north of the lowes wharf area? (https://maps.google.com/maps?es_sm=1...464,+-76.33090 38.77464, -76.33090)

Was wondering if I could set up a "cross-the-bay" fishing trip and camp out at one of those spots for the night before returning in the morning.

Black Walnut would be a wet night. Its a 52 acre bird sanctuary, so I'm pretty sure you can't camp there.

I don't know about camping but when we fish over that way we stay at Knapps Narrows Inn. You can pull your kayak right up to the back of the Inn.

Looks like a good place, but this would be a camping trip. Definitely worth putting in the bookmarks though.

It would be a paddling trip from Chesapeake Beach to the eastern shore. Might stay a day or so and fish around, then return across the bay and back to home.

We plan to do the same thing in the next few weeks (Leave C Beach and fish spots along the way to the Eastern Shore. Stay over Knapps Inn - head back the next day)

Often thought about such a trip... camping, although I really don't have the kayak for hauling a lot of equipment.
I used to paddle across the Ocean City Inlet with my dog in a canoe and camp out at N. Assateague... but not too sure if it's really kosher to camp there...

If you haven't ever seen this fellows trips... they are extraordinary... scroll down and there are pics at the link...

I would probably bring the same stuff I take when I go on a several day hunt. Light enough for me to carry it all through the mountains, so it should be OK in the yak. Weather and wind timing are what I would need to really plan for.

Wish I could get an exact on that Tilghman Island camp site.
