  • Uh ....... not good .......

Rt 222 is under water ....... water is 13 ft over flood in Harrisburgh and another big storm is heading to the northeast ......... (at least that's what it said on the morning news)

THe Flats season could be washed out this year ............ prime time is usually between now and the beginning of May and it usually takes at least a week for the flats to calm down after a big storm because of all of the water coming from up north .........

Fletchers cove in DC had a family of 4 trapped in waist deep water on Sunday. The river had climbed since then to +10.75 feet. The pump station at little falls is releasing 20x the normal amount of water it normally does. Despite that I saw 10 asian guys fishing on Sunday from the shore...mostly cussing (I think) the complete trees flowing downstream tearing lines in half. You had to admire their persistence.

      Lucky they got out alive

... Mother and daughter didn't last year. And a father watched his son get swept away at angler's inn.

God bless them all. . .

The river was Almost over the bank and on the bike trail at Roosevelt island yesterday on the way home from SPSP. Lots of large trees floating by. I can imagine how high it is at Chain bridge and Fletcher's. That family is lucky indeed..
