Kipto fishing

Have anyone fish at Kipto this year? My family plan to go camping in August. I also just read a review that say there are a lot of commercial net/crab around the area and no fish.

I think thats been the general report for the past few years. Every winter I tell myself I'm gonna go down and eel the ships but it seems like that fishery has collapsed. Not sure how it fishes in the summer but I would think there'd be some tog or flounder around at least

That suck. My other choice is first landing state park but most of it have been reserved

Can't really speak about how the fishing has been as of late. But the pier usually holds fish under the lights. You won't want to fish it from the yak though because it's sure to have some people fishing there. If you walk to the end of the pier and cast maybe 6-7 feet out with a bottom rig, you should get into em. You gotta pay to use the pier though even if you camp there... smh.

There's fish there. Fish along the ships and the crab pots. You should be able to find flounder and reds there. People have also caught reds near the shore the fish nets are.

So far the fishing is off according to reports ......... Chris tackle seems to be posting pictures instead of posting reports. Cherrystone campground has a pretty complete report. Go to website then to things to do ( or something like that) then to Hutches Fishing report ....... It's usually pretty complete
