I'll break my rule about not fishing tournaments because I more want to hang out with you guys than stress if my fish is the biggest....doesn't matter. Money's going to charity and Mustafa's fish is going in my belly. Looking forward to hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones.
    Awesome Alan!

Last year was my first time and I never saw it as a tournament because it was such a relaxed atmosphere. Plus the raffles were so great almost everyone who entered got something. Not to mention the captains bags had so many goodies you pretty much feel like it's a prize!

The Masgouf demo is going to be on Friday so it doesn't impact the tournament rules.

Remember to get out and catch some fish that week though to donate your fish! LOL

Maybe Friday we can pre-fish. How early can we show up to the camp site?

Pretty excited and counting down the days to get away and do some relaxing and fishing at my first CBKA. Just curious are there grills there for the potluck? I have taken Friday off and will be there as early as we are allowed to pre-fish. Hopefully meet and fish with others as well on Friday

Are there rules about fishing only artificials or are people using bait too?

FISHING METHODS: All fish must be caught using rod and reel (hook and line). All blue crabs must be caught using rod and reel, hand lines or crab traps. No trot lines are allowed. Artificial or natural bait (shrimp, crab, minnows etc) is permitted. You must comply with all Maryland DNR regulations as to number of rods, type of bait, size of bait, number of hooks, etc. Wade fishing is allowed if kayak/canoe is tethered to angler.

Check in for the event starts at 3PM. However, we have the camp from noon so you can arrive and get set up at noon on Friday.

There are no grills supplied. You can bring your own. Charcoal grills, propane are OK. If using charcoal please douse thoroughly and dispose properly. Also, no open camp fires.

There is a large grill that the Camp uses to cook the dinner on Saturday. I don't recall if we used it for the potluck last year. The Camp probably would not object to our use of it. Just ask nice and clean up :-)

You can starting arriving at noon on Friday.

With just a little more than a week to go, the registrations are coming in. There is still room, so if you want to register, sooner is better than later. The contents of the captain's bags should be good this year. Everything is shaping up. Do not forget to PM or post here if you are able to get a rockfish or other game fish for AbuMasgouf aka Mustafa to use during the Masgouf demo, you do not want to miss it. If anyone has never been to Camp Wright before, this campsite is equip with full bathrooms and showers.

is the only check-in at Camp Wright, or will there be check-in sites in Anne Arundel County also?
