I have a Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 sit inside that I've jury rigged for fishing. I have tried the Bay Bridge in prior summers, but felt like I was taking too big a risk with all the wakes and strong currents. Besides, the noise under the bridge is not my idea of a pleasant outing.
I am looking at putting in on the East Beach side at Sandy Point, and from there it's about a mile or so paddle to the Podickory Pt. Yacht and Beach Club. Depending on bait availability, I am thinking live lining close to shore, and/or putting a peeler or cut bunker on a surf rig with a popping bobber. I'd also be trolling/casting the rock jettys from E. Beach at S.P., to near the mouth of the Magothy on the incoming.
Anyone else done this? If anyone is game to try, let me know.
