I need some advice guys. I am possibly headed to a campground site @ Cherrystone. My question being a new kayaker, Do I need both State saltwater liscense? MD and VA? I have my MD DNR liscense.

I believe you only need 1, but you need to register with other state. Its a free registration and only for salt water
