Folks,
I drove my wife's new Hobie Outback today. Went out in Whitehall Bay for a little perchin and striper trolling. First impressions - hands free fishing is the only way to go, the Outback is very agile, and fast yet still quite stable . . . it is a fishing machine. Also, I was dry - no paddle splash/drip. I probably caught 25% more fish than I would have in my paddle yak and when I was done I wasn't totally knackered. I caught so many perch I stopped counting. On the way back I trolled a couple of lines with buck tails dressed with Fat Sams. I picked up two stripers a 20" and a 16" in rapid succession. It was a good day.
