If I was home I would definitely give this a try.

There is a bait shop selling live green crabs on EBay. 50 crabs for $13 +shipping guaranteed alive when delivered.

Maybe some of you would like to try this since it would allow you to launch early and not wait for the bait store to open.

Interesting concept... Thanks for the tip.

The savings really isn't much compared to the price around Ocean City, roughly $0.50/dozen, but I can see how it would be nice for those traveling to the shore every weekend to have them in advance. Even so, I'd probably still rather support the local tackle shops.

Just curious as I have not had the chance to fish for Tog.. Will 50 crabs last you all day? couple hours?

That should be plenty. Especially with you able to cut some in half and sometimes in quarters depending on the size.
