anyone close to Columbia, SC?

I'm visiting my parents in Elgin, close to Sandhills. I'm not able to bring my kayak this time, but want a place to fish from the bank for bass and bluegill and bring my young twins with me. Any suggestions? Neighborhood ponds that hold fish would be great too

Small world, I lived in Camden for a year way back in high school. Never did any fishing though unfortunately.

my dad retired at Ft Jackson, they have several big ponds with everything there, so I'll try and get a permit.
