OBX Questions / Link Up

I am going to be heading down to OBX from Aug 8th-10th and bringing my Yak. I have never really had any luck fishing the surf/ocean, but have had a ball in the past launching and paddling the ocean. I wanted to see what would be good for a beginner or if anyone in the area would be interested in linking up and showing me the ropes. I was hoping to pay for a OBX Kayak Fishing trip with Rob alderman, but can't seem to get any response. Any bait suggestions would also be a huge help! Thanks!

See my write up from July....I usually launch at the fishing center kayak launch at Oregon inlet, zman paddle tails in natural colors on 1/4 oz. jig head have been the ticket the last couple trips.
