Spent a long 4th of July weekend at my mom's with a "semi" family reunion in upstate NY. (one sibling in NV couldn't get there) Worked over the lake with my son and a young nephew and all the LM bass, crappie and yellow perch you could want. For whatever reason only a couple bluegills & pumpkinseed sunfish. But they were hand sized or better. Mom says there had been a lot of rain. The lake is higher than I've ever seen it for this time of year and the water cooler, too. Might be why we saw more crappie action at this time of year than usual as well.
Couple pics... My young nephew learned to unhook his own fish and hold them on this trip! As you can see, not entirely comfortable... yet.
