New Jersey Fall Run 2016 Cows from the Kayak

Here is a video report from last Sunday, 10/30. Two friends and I launched at sunrise and found our own private bunker schools with a good amount of big bass on them. Most fish were 20-25 lbs with some 30-35s thrown in. I have been out once since with middling results and hope to get out at least once more this week. The winds kept me on the couch editing video this weekend instead of getting back out there. This was one of the best days I've ever had kayak fishing.

Sick video, brother! I kills me that I was standing on that very beach that very day and didn't make it happen. I even drove home through the same rain storm....

I so want to get out there and experience that!

Awesome! Your snag and drop videos always have me telling myself that I need to be trying this off the OC MD beaches.

"Private" bunker school in NJ; that must have been a rarity to have them all to yourself.

I know the feeling Bruce we just happened to get lucky with launch conditions and magically picked the right spot that morning that had fish in front of it. Plus the boats never found us. On my next trip we found fish too but then someone got on the radio and before we knew it we were surrounded by boats which killed the bite. My plans to launch Wednesday look a little aggressive now as the wind forecast has changed for the worse. People are still catching big bass in New England so I'm hopeful the run will continue like last year
