Hit the canals in OBX yesterday afternoon for a few hours. Caught my biggest largemouth of the year on a Bignose jig spinner that I tied up. Also caught a smaller bass on a white jig and curly tail grub. The big bass was in a weedy area near a fallen tree and in shade. It fought nicely.
I also spooked some gar in the canal. I hope to head back this afternoon/evening.
