My wife and I scored a free last minute trip to Grand Bahama Island last week so I thougt I would do a little fishing. We went out on a head boat Saturday mid morning. A cold front had moved in over night so I knew what that meant. All the fish I saw coming off the boat the day before were gone.

We had a good time besides the slow fishing, several 1 to 3 pound Grunts were caught as well as Yellow Tail Snapper and a few Porgies. A few Squirle fish were caught. Handle with care, they have a rotating razor sharp gill plate andside spikes that can be full of bacteria that will ruin your month.

The excitement of the day was an 80 pound reef shark stealing fish off our lines. I also had a large Barracuda try and take a few.

At the end of the trip the crew clean some of the fish for my wife and I and sent us the a local restuarant were they cooked it for us. Less then an hour from sea to plate. Very good.

Everyone should believe in something... I believe I'll go fishing.

No marlin?!?! Oh well, you had a good time. The cooked fish looks good.

BTW, I didn't hook up on any toads from Kipto.

    Thanks for the Bahama report.
