Spro's are nice but a bit expensive and a little thin on hair, too. Check ebay for Spro style and round head bucktails. Look for ones with the most hair. There are also some jig makers on this forum that could probably hook you up.

Luckily for me all I have are hairy bucktails...LOL I was using the ones I got from spankin' stripers. Again not nearly cheap. But I got them at a decent price when we had our discount with them.

Saw the ebay "Spro-like" bucktails. Pretty cheap, between $1 and $2 each, and they seem like good quality. Too bad I didn't know about these earlier....... I bought a bunch of real Spro's from Cabelas last month on sale for almost $4 apiece.

I bought a bunch of white 2 oz ones to use at the CBBT last year. I normally look for ones that advertise the hooks they use.
