Awesome! Way to lead the way Gents!

What setup do you guys have for this type of fishing? I remember Pinch mentioned in his other post a heavy Trevala and an Avet SX. What other setups do the rest of you use?

Side question, I noticed that the Avet SX doesn't have a lot of drag, what makes you choose it over other reels?

              Thanks for the input gents.

The avet most likely would have handled the tuna, however, you had to get the fish up quick or the sharks destroyed it. I'm talking sharks as big as your kayak.

We used sg release reels, Penn squall lever drags with heavy travelas and custom broom stick rods that I never thought would bend like they did.

Did they fix the Bonner Bridge yet? I guess if you left out of Oregon Inlet it wouldn't matter.

I agree, you could land one of the Blackfin's on the Avet, but there is no way the Avet can crank the tuna faster than those shark could eat it.

I'm curious what effect you are using to get those pics like that? They are very haunting... Love the effect...
