Got out on the yak with a buddy Friday in a central nj bay at 5 am to try and jig a doormat. We were welcomed by 53 degree water temps from some crazy upwelling. My buddy hit an 18 incher on a minnow on our first drift but after that the action died. Bites were light and the full moon currents were raging. It was my first trip with turbo fins installed and they made a huuuuge difference. Around noon I hit a suicidal fat 23 incher on a bucktail and an 18.5" soon after. Caught about a dozen micro flounder then had a little surprise at the end of the day...
