I've had an idea for a while to get crafty and make a wall hanger decoration. Be it good enough for the office wall, or the fireplace mantel (Cowkid2 beat me to that*).
Picked up a 1" x 12" x 4', cheap wood...seems perfect for hacking and chopping.
I've been looking at easy-ish patterns, and tried to free hand it on to the board with a pencil. After a few hours of sketching and burning through an eraser.
Figured it was good enough...and went to the jig saw:

Tried using my old soldering iron to burn the detail in:
After an hour of burning the surface with the new soldering iron I picked up to work on this project.
