When we fished today I found myself picking up Bud Light cans and mini Smirnoff Vodka bottles being tossed in the water by the trot liners in the area. Being in a kayak I’m not going to confront guys in a boat with a motor, but I was fuming inside. I saw them head to the launch and shortly after a DNR boat headed to the dock. We could hear them talking but seemed more like they knew each other. DNR left and the trot liner headed back out.
As I pulled my yak out the trot liner pulled out right behind me and pulled up next to me as I was derigging. I heard them tell someone they got a $160 fine for having female crabs on board. Karma!
