    Featherpop and I checked out Sandy Point this morning. Grilled Sardin met up with us a couple hours after we got there. Skunk.

    I was there with another yaker. We paddled out to the lighthouse and tried fishing the drop off, no luck. Then we padded up to the bridge and tried fishing around some of the pilings. Skunked.

    I haven't had a chance to install my depth finder but after this trip I think I will. Saw one other group in a double Hobie, man I was jealous, that thing was quick.

      nice shots!

      yeah, we saw the tandem hobies go out towards the bridge..did they have rods? i couldnt tell from shore. i did see some SUV's pull into the lot with some yaks on the roof, but never noticed anybody int he water. i assume it was you guys?

      seems not many people has luck on saturday, just one of those odd days..

      when are you planning on going out next?

      where you guys trolling, jiggin or soaking?

        Yeah that was probably us in the parking lot. We saw the snaggedline truck and another car with a rack on top. Must have been you guys.

        We tried just about everything, soaking bloods, jigging, some trolling. That tide was ripping in when we decided to go to the bridge... dumb on our part. We had a few missed bites up by the rockpile but we guessed they were perch because they were only nibbles.

        I am planning on coming up more often now that it's warmed up. I'm heading home for easter, but I'll be up there the weekend after. I'm trying to get in shape for a the kayak tournament in Jamaica Bay this year.
        Used to fish more.
