Looks like Hobie is going to release a new mirage drive that spins, probably at the iCast show.

Very interesting.

Thanks for sharing.

It takes special minds to develop these devices -- far beyond my capabilities.

Further, the language in the patent application is incredibly, mind-numbingly precise. Guess that's why patent lawyers are specialists too.

And the latest 2020 drives including the 180 and GT drives have the kickup fins...but the old drives cannot be converted to the kickup fins...the new drives are “new” and have different dimensions...they will fit in older Hobies (the 360 drive will not fit)

I think this was the biggest issue with the 180 & GT drives. The most common problem on most forums were the 'bent' fin masts. With this design issue corrected I think Hobie is back on top as the #1 Pedal Drive

I am not a spammer... I though y’all would be interested in what was at the time a preview of the hobie 360 drive...

I have a 2019 outback and live in Maryland. I’ve been called a lot of things, but a robot... it ain’t so!
