Opening Day?

Anyone going after Rock this weekend? Trophy season opens this weekend http://www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries...bregmap03.html. I've never had much luck during trophy season, but I usually fish below the 301 bridge on the Potomac and I am not very skilled at trolling. Just curious what other people's plans of attack are....

I will be fishing in the Boatyard Bar and Grill Tournament in Annapolis by boat on Saturday. On Sunday, I hope to be on the kayak trolling and jiggin the Bay Bridge and Matapeake area.

I'll be fishing on a buddies boat. I'll rather be fishing on the yak but he's never fished for rockfish before so he wants me to show him the ropes. I don't think I can get out of it...lol I really wanted to take out the yak opening day. I'm aiming for Sunday to go yak fishin.

Its funny, I know a couple buddies with boats but I hate fishing on from boats. I'll much rather be fishing from the kayak. I'll post a report Sat. Its going to suck if we get skunked...well maybe that will be good, then next time he wont ask me to go on the boat

I'll be going on a friends boat also,It's funny how we miss are kayaks.I won't be paddling or driving so i'll take some Heinekens and chill.
