44" and 33" AI

Hit the beach from 4-11pm yesterday, pretty slow day with only one little sandbar shark until 9 oclock. BOOOM 44 incher went on 4 or 5 20 yd drag screaming runs. It was quite a fight. About 25 min later my buddy nailed a 33" on one of my 10' poles. His fish also put on several long runs. We missed two more BIIGGG hits. Ran outta bait at 11 (wasnt plannin on stayin all night) I wish we woulda bought more bait. They are def leaving the Chesapeake and turning left.

I was out there thurs night till yesterday morning. Had a GREAT day.

40" (22lb), 39" (22lb), 41" (25lb), and a 35" Black Drum

Loads of Skates and 1 snapper blue too (weird)

All released to swim another day

no pic on the drum as I released it quickly. They perish fast out of the water.

Nice fish, you probably shouldnt release em all...they are delicious!! I used to think bigger fish 35"+ didnt taste good, but since I started bleeding em while alive they taste 100x better.

I keep very few fish, every now and again but not too often. The big ones do definitely taste good. Just a personal preference thing, certainly not mad at anyone that does keep so long they do it legally.

I love eating stripers, just like catching em even more!

Assateague Island. Pretty much all of the shoreline along the Delmarva is biting right now.

Awesome fish. What were you using for bait?

Ictalurus, I believe he was using bunker. I've been using bunker and peeler crab with great results.
