2nd hand report.....not my report, but a buddy of mine crabbed off the pier at the boat ramp and caught 30 crabs from 7 till 10AM, but said there was a ton of undersized between the keepers. all full though.

I had a similar catch about two weeks ago, while crabbing from my kayak. There were lots of small crabs. i was crabbing in the South River.

nice....i still want to go out crabbing from the yak. i made a trot line and bought whole bunch of traps but haven't had the chance to go out yet.

I use traps. One tip is to use broom sticks in your flush mount rod holders. Stack the traps on the broom sticks. It keeps the traps out of the way and is an easy way to carry the traps. Otherwise, the traps can be quite the pain. I can carry 12 traps in that manner. Good Luck.
