Tuf- I have a Diawa Saltist 40 loaded with 65# braid for that kind of work on a Penn 50# Class standup tuna rod- I caught Pacific Halibut on it in 300 feet of water and it worked fine- 16 oz of lead is the minimum they use on the west coast in the shallower waters- up to 3 lbs when the get over 600 feet- with a double hook rig similar to the one shown in your pictures- most dedicated bottom bouncers have the Okuma electrics-
