OK- I am officially signed up to fish and they have my money- Giving you folks plenty of advanced planning time if anyone from MKF wants to go deep dropping March 8th- (This is the day before my birthday, so it is my birthday present) and is my first deep drop trip-
OK- March 8th is the next trip- I am committed so at least one MKF'er will be deep dropping for Reef fish, Grouper, Tile Fish, Barrel fish and Rose fish...all delicious deep water table fare- big snowy grouper are the prize on this trip and they can get pretty big...starting to get the itch...this is also a test run for some new equipment that I want to travel with me to Alaska this year...the travel jig rod breaks down to 4 pieces that are 18 inches long and is rated for 50-80# braid and the Squall 40LD is loaded with 550 yds of 65# RipChord braid...I have several bags of green glo beads, a half dozen light sticks, a mighty lite (blue), 25 pac of Gamatusu 7/0 circle hooks, and 3 pacs of 3 inch green squid skirts to make up my own terminal rigs...been doing my normal research on this type of fishing- watched a ton of You Tube vids- even one from Capt. Feller, the skipper of the Rudee Angler on a trip for Grouper- caught some monster snowy grouper on that trip...
