Go to the beach without going over the Bay Bridge.
Mayo Beach Park is open from 11 am to 5 pm THIS Sunday, September 7, 2014. The event is free and open to the general public. Bring your beach towel and picnic and spend the day at this wonderful beach. Bring your kayak or SUP and launch from the beach.
You do not have to be a resident of Anne Arundel County or belong to any group or club to go to a Mayo Beach Open Day. You do not need to register.
Mayo Beach Park is a public county park right on the Bay between the South River and Beverly-Triton Beach Park. It has wonderful sandy beaches, picnic tables, shade trees, playground equipment, parking for hundreds of cars, grass . . . and is rarely open to the general public:

Directions: Take Route 2 south of Annapolis. Cross the South River. Turn left/east on Central Ave/MD214. Turn LEFT at Lou's Stop Shop. Turn LEFT at the Y intersection. Follow small Mayo Beach Park signs. Arrive at the park. Enjoy an afternoon on the Bay.

Sunday, September 21st, 2014 in conjunction with the Baltimore Area Boardsailing Association (BABA) for the East Coast Windsurfing Championships. No time set yet.
