Congrats on a successful day. Cooler temps will make rocktober and drumtober productive.

did you need an AA boat launch permit for a car-top kayak from this location?
People who use the word "literally" wrong literally kill me.

There are no lunch permits needed for car-top boats in AA County to my knowledge.

But Ft. Smallwood Park charges a nominal entry fee if you do not have a pass.

Holy crap another permit to buy! I got the $75 permit for the state parks, then you gotta by the queen anne's launch, and this one's completely different. I just hope the money's going to use. I'm collecting permits like trading cards

              Alan:

Its not just the price. It is the inconvenience of the purchase also. Its 2014. I should be able to purchase whatever permit/pass that I need online using a credit card/paypal etc. Send me a .pdf and call it a day. Why in the world I need to go to Anglers to purchase a Queen Anne's parking permit is beyond me.

                  Alan,

When you're an old fart like me you can get a lifetime pass to AA County parks for $40.

But until you reach that milestone (60 years) consider the charge of $6 a visit to be a "benefit" of your youth.

                  Cheers,
