Hit Eastern Bay/Shipping Creek this morning. I was on the water by 6:15. Had my first fish by 6:20. Loads and loads of bait. I threw top water for a few without much to show for it. I love the blue backed X-rap. Its my most consistent producer and I have the most confidence in it. Didn't fail me today. About a dozen fish today in less than two hours. Just at the limit stripers, one snapper (almost cocktail sized) blue fish and one decent striper that I took for the dinner table.
Up at 5 am, on the water by 6:15 and at work before 10.
This is fall. (Yes, probably going tomorrow too).
