Wow what a day! Got to Bev Triton around 6:15 and the ranger came out and opened the gate early for me. So I went in and was on my way a little before 7. Met Kahn before launching and chatted up a little bit and he told me what to look for. Started off trying to get the skunk off quick, casting a beetle spin near shore for perch, only caught one, but mission accomplished. Headed out to deeper water looking for bigger fish and spent 35 minutes trolling around before I finally saw the bird cloud. I thought, man they look to far away for me to get to in my limited time. Well luck was on my side, because they came to me. Got into them and boom two fish on, a 17" Blue and 19" Striper. Circled to try to get back on em and made a huge tangled mess on my tandem crank and spoon line along with my other two lines. Cut lines, and tied one back together and luck would have it there was a fish still on the end of the line. Pulled in a fat 21" Striper. After wasting time getting things untangled and reset, I had lost the birds for a bit, but I quickly regained them. Got into the birds and picked up another 17" Blue. Tried casting a Badonkadonk and had a swipe at it, but no hooks into him and after a couple minutes I was off the fish again. Sprinted to get back to them and picked up another 18" Striper. Fish were caught on: 1 on trolls to 10 rapala minnow crank bait, 3 on a Spin Trix 3/8 oz shad jighead with pearl gulp mullet, and 1 on a redfish magic with a Z-man paddler in shad color. Headed in around 8:30 as Cowpokey and Cowkid were heading out. Sorry, I didn't stay and chat much, had to rush out of there to make it home and head off to see the ORIOLES magic! My wife and I took our son Camden to his first game at Camden yards to see an O-Mazing game! Here's a few pics:
