  • rattle trap and high tides in chesapeake beach

well today the bay was flat as a lake near shore. Stripers were all over the shallows feasting on minnows and my rattle trap. Got about 10-12 keeper size rock in about 2 hours of fishing. Ended up with four rockfish in the 18-20" range. I guess I better add that I had my son on board the yak

he's only six so he was reeling in marlins, lol

Nice job. He must have had a blast with a smile from ear to ear.

he did it was rather lake like out on the water so you could see rock hitting baitfish all down the beach. It was a fun time for sure. Hope the action stays for a while. I suspect the extra high tides had something to do with it. Also lots and I'm talking about lots of trees in the water and on the beach.
