  • Good day on Whitehall Bay

First post for a novice. Went out of NSA Annapolis near Browns Cove at 1130. Pedaled my way into Whitehall Bay trolling a shallow crank bait and a paddle tail. Two and half hours later had 2 in the boat, 19'' and 21', let 6 go and lost 2. Birds where all over the place. At one point as I was struggling to unhook a nice rock I looked up and was in the middle of diving birds and jumping rocks. Four boats zorch over and cast all around me. I felt a little out gunned and a lot out horsepowered, but it was exciting.

I learned a couple things. I know why they invented rod leashes as I grabbed my rod from going over on a double hook up. And as I was untangling myself, I know 2 lines at once is my limit.

Thank you for the report and congratulations on a good outing.

Perhaps you experienced the same flock of feeding birds that Raptor and I did as they moved about.

      Great fishing yesterday, for sure.
