I have off tomorrow off and would like to give it a go. It is going to be one of the few days with a decent wind forecast. The morning should be fairly calm with the wind picking up toward afternoon. You have a particular place in mind?

I'm launching at dawn at JG for a couple hours if it's not too windy.

Think I'll be there also. Close to home for me and I caught fish the last trip.

Cool, we'll probably see each other at the launch or on the water

Wind should be fairly OK in the morning but forecasted to pick up a good bit as day goes on.
You have a radio? I'll be on 68 if I don't see you at the launch.

Can you make it Tuesday? Wind/weather looks good in the morning.

A cool (temp) but calm early morning trollingfest made us work for the hits. I got 2 solid hits but no hookups & maybe a couple more pecks... or it could've been suspended tree debris or grass. Thanks for the company, Peggy, & Don. They got out a bit earlier than I & they caught a few rock. I will let them elaborate. Then around almost 11, I'd say, the wind kicked in & we were north of the rt 50 bridge so it was a workout paddling back, Peggy pedalling so smoothly. I took a few waves over the bow, got face-splashed a couple times& I had to dig to make any headway. I wanted to eat & sleep upon my reunion with the soft launch but instead I went east over the Bay Bridge to finally land some stripers, including 2 keepers in Cambridge. I just returned home to clean my fish & it starts to rain! It was in the mid 30s at my house & mid 40s at launch, rising quickly to the 50s with the sun's rise. My drysuit kept me dry but I was too hot wearing it....perhaps I lost some weight today? I didnt care for the wind in my face the whole paddle back but that's life. We were never in danger but nonkayakers may think we were crazy. Still, I'd rather be crazy & safe, then unsafe & sane. Thanks Peggy & Don for the company.
