Hello all,
You have a chance to preview South River Farms Park in Anne Arundel County on Saturday 11/15/14 10 am to 1 pm. South River Farms Park has the big sandy beach on Limehouse Cove that you see right across the river from Quiet Waters Park.
The South River Federation welcomes the public to its fall hike and picnic in South River Farms Park on Saturday. SRF usually supplies bratwurst, macaroni and cheese, ice, paper plates, cups and utensils for the potluck and people bring side dishes and desserts.
Don't let the "private community" signs on the way to South River Farms Park discourage you.

Please join South River Federation for a fall hike and potluck picnic and get a preview of South River Farms Park this Saturday, 11/15/14, beginning at 10:00 am. South River Farms Park is 180 acres of county-owned land on the South River with two tidal pools, a sandy beach, a meadow and walking trails.
Directions: Take Route 2 south of Annapolis. Cross the South River. Turn left/east on Central Avenue/MD 214 and go ~1.9 miles. Turn left on Loch Haven Road at the BP gas station. Continue for ~1.4 miles as the road turns into Loch Haven Drive. There is no park sign so keep an eye out on your right for a wide drive with a yellow metal gate set back from the road. That drive is the entrance to South River Farms Park. There will be a South River Federation banner at the driveway. If you pass Walnut Drive on your left, you've gone 20 feet too far.
