Bush River 11/15/14

Fished the Bush River railroad bridge this afternoon, a quick trip close to home. Yak fish and I launched under the bridge and noticed a good number of crab traps in our fishing grounds. We were able to make trolling passes, but not close to the bridge as we liked. We found a compact school of stripers on the FF and I caught a striper on the first pass with a 3/4oz rattle trap. On the second pass the school moved on.

Finding another small school I jigged up another fall striper with a BA. That was it for the afternoon once the boats moved in.

Excellent Jeremy! We fished the Eastern shore in deep water to find stripers in moving schools. The bite died after 1:30 or 2pm. We still got our limits.

Damn you guys. I have been content thinking that my streak of skunked trips (0 for 8?) would keep me off the Bush River for good. Now I have to go back and try again...

Mike...November and early December is the only time I will fish the Bush. The other 10 months, I avoid the river like the plague!!!
