The ocean stripers are definitely moving in. PB 26" and another 24" and they were fat with sea lice on them.

Congrats on some nice looking fish. PLO is a great place to fish, but I don't want to go to far out in this cold weather (for safety).Did you have to go out far to get them? Did you launch from the marina or around the pier?

Yes it was a good/slow day the action was short but good. Peggy - the fish are holding deep so we went about 2 miles to find the deepest parts the problem was on the way back in the head wind kicked up and it was slow going with a decent chop. Joe - steamed stripers for Thanksgiving!

Steamed stripers? Hmmm...never thought of doing that. Do you season them with anything while they're in there?

Alan - We have one of these Steamers and we do a simplified version of Steaming fish with ginger/soy sauce/rice wine and of course you need the cilantro. With that steamer you can even steam crabs in there it's one of our go to appliances.
