My nephews invited me to fish the area they grew up, very end of Ragged Point Rd. in Dorchester County. My son also joined us took a break from his new job after graduating from UMD last week
. It was a good place to launch, nice sandy beach near the road. 15 feet from the car to the water.
Only 4-5 feet of water, bottom was hard, we drifted with the swell and wind, bouncing a bottom rig using peelers and nightcrawlers. My nephews have been catching croaker and rockfish there since they started fishing 20 years ago.
Yesterday was a different story, only one croaker and one 15" rockfish between us but several channel catfish over 20". First time they had caught catfish in that area. Another sign that the salinity is low in the bay??
