First Fish 2015

Went shore fishing for an hour next to home yesterday after work. I was after stockie Rainbow Trout in the local lake. I think DNR put a 1000 or so in in Early February befor ethe freeze over. I did see a couple of the stockies rise while I was there. I had two hits. One came unpinned after about 10 seconds or so. The second was this guy. Not a rainbow, but good pullage which what I really needeed. You can see I wasn;t expecting a Largemouth as the water was REALLY COLD. I was using a small 1/16 oz twister tail grup on a safety pin spinner.

And Gary is on the board! Nice job. I'll get out at some point this weekend.
It's interesting how bass have purple lips/mouths when the water is cold like this.
