Not much of an active member on here but looking to change that. I've been hitting the cliffs for the past few weeks without much luck so I was gunna switch it up to the Severn because of all the positive trips to ft Smallwood. Anyone been fishing the Severn at all? And also is anyone down to meet me there one morning in the next week or so?

Stripers on the Severn?

The Severn is just beginning to show signs of stripers. They are not there in numbers yet but should be coming in soon. Ft Smallwood was productive earlier in the week. The only way to find out where they are (short of someone telling you) is to get out and do some exploring. I made two Severn exploratory trips in the last two weeks and came up empty. I have not tried this week -- they may be there now.John Veil

They will show up first near the mouth. Last year the big ones got as far up as the Rt 50 bridge. Then 3 weeks after they showed up, they were gone.John Veil

Trolled for two plus hours Sunday 4/12 on a strong incoming tide in the mid pm. Skunked. Worked the area between the Naval
Academy bridge and the Taylor research center. Also tried the area between the bridges concentrating on the area over the old rr bridge. Will be back again next weekend.
