Arrived at Fort Smallwood early yesterday afternoon to find a "Closed on Wednesday" sign, so I punched in "Beverly Triton" on the GPS and headed that way. Was on the water at 3pm and immediately found fish in 10ft of water. I stuck to trolling a 1/2 oz spro jig with chartreuse trailer along with a rat-l-trap. The spro got a vast majority of the action all afternoon with most fish landed in the 18-26" range, with the average size steadily rising through the evening. With Beverly Triton closing at 7pm I started to pedal the Slayer Propel back to the launch around 6. In 8ft of water the depthfinder lit up with VERY LARGE fish readings. A few moments later the rat-l-trap rod bent over. The pics tell the rest of the story...
(BTW, I have a 2013 Jackson Big Tuna for sale in Black Widow color. It has a rudder-kit installed, has been garage-kept, and is in great condition. Will be posting pics in the for-sale section here on Sunday. Message me at dinscore@gmail.com if you're interested in hearing more.)
