Thinking about giving Mariner Point Park a try Friday. Has anyone been out recently? This will be my first outing this year.

Glad to hear there are good reports. I'm finally getting my dad out for the first time tomorrow evening. Mariner Point was the plan.

Was out this morning for a couple hours, water was very low. Managed a few bass nothing too big, lots of competition from the glitter boats.

I haven't very limited experience there. I was thinking of a three rod combo of senko, spinnerbait, and maybe a topwater.

We got skunked last night. We only had about 90 minutes to be on the water, and with this being his first time out on the yak I knew we didnt have time to get to the good fishing spots. It was still great getting him out there though. I had a bit of a flashback watching him snag in the trees over and over. Casting toward shore definitely took some getting used to.
