Launched from Farmington Landing. Stopped about 150 yards south of the fort Washington lighthouse in 10 foot of water at 630. Cats, carp and gar were rolling everywhere. Picked up 4 cats. 3 blues and one channel. Half and half, shrimp and salted chicken livers. The bite slowed, so I'd thought I'd see what's on the north side of the lighthouse. I found 60 feet of water (after asking another boater)(batteries conveniently died on my depth finder) with 45 feet of anchor rope...so I slow drifted into a 3 footer (he covered the width of the hobie). He swallowed the hook, so I cut the line close and wished him well. I will be going back with fresh batteries and more rope. Apparently that is the same area the state record blue was caught. The current in that area is crazy. Swirls and flat areas, that really push and alter the yak. I'm looking forward to starting there next tine.
