  • Ft. Smallwood 6/29

Launched from Ft. Smallwood around 7-7:30 am and water looked fairly calm. I immediately hooked up with some small stripers and paddled to the fishing pier but the wind and white caps were a bit much. So I paddled back near the launch site and fished. Caught some more small stripers and perch. Left around 11:00. Marks lure was the most hit for the day, thanks Mark.

    Harry,

Sorry I couldn't get out yesterday morning. Too bad the wind curtailed your trip. But it's good to know the perch are getting active there and that you found a few to bite the spinner.

Nice going Harry. It is great to catch fish in waters near your home.

Mark's lures are proven fish catchers. Yesterday afternoon he and I were running around Eastern Bay in my center console casting to shallow areas and stump fields. Mark (using his own jigheads) caught twice as many fish as I did -- two of them were massive slab side white perch, the others stripers. I did get the largest striper, however.
