7/23 Night kayakfishing...
Again, the lure of peaceful waters & splashing fish made for a hopeful adventure.
The eve before I struck out again w/ the snakeheads(saw em, but they wouldnt bite) so I
sought the eastern shore for my sanity & solitude. I launched @10 pm& stayed out until 2am
as I was having too much fun. 1st cast again was a double of lil ones. I switched up lures for awhile & waited out the slack tide to more doubles. I only had 1 jackass troll thru my fishing zone. Dude almost ran me over despite my lights. His motor spooked em all( thanks, moron!) so I found more fish elsewhere. He wasnt catching anything. Again, I caught about the same 50, maybe 60 fish w/ horizontal lines. I could've caught more but I explored some other areas. Like the other night, the baitfish were everywhere. I did catch 2 keepers that snapped my line. I landed another 4 or 5 that were keepers or close to being a keeper.
I saw a few rays too. I only wish the drive wasnt so far. The air was noticeably cooler but w/ a long sleeve shirt it felt good. All fish were released to swim another day.
